I want to thank the Lagos Studies Association Conference for inviting me to come present my paper and join in the celebration of Sophie Oluwole’s work. My paper was about Oluwole’s place in African philosophy and the importance of her work as being Beyond paradigmatic dichotomy. It was great to be in the company of Professor Oyeronke Oyewumi, Professor Oladele Balogun, dr. Ademola Fayemi and Juul van der Laan who has made a film about Oluwole.
